The Fort Vermilion Recreation Society was incorporated as a registered non-profit organization in 1976.

We are formally recognized by Mackenzie County, with whom we maintain an operating partnership. Each year, the Society receives both operational and capital funding from the County to help sustain community recreation.

Additional revenue is generated through facility rentals and fundraising initiatives organized throughout the year.

The Society is responsible for providing recreational programs and community events, as well as for maintaining the recreational facilities within the Hamlet of Fort Vermilion that fall under our umbrella.

Through these efforts, we continue to promote active living, community engagement, and a stronger sense of connection among residents.
