The Town of Diamond Valley oversees one indoor arena and 3 outdoor ice surfaces. The Oilfields Regional Arena (ORA) and the Outdoor Scott Seaman Sports Rink (SSSR) are available for rent, serving as ice surfaces during the fall/winter and as dry pad surfaces in the spring/summer. When reviewing the facility calendars, please be aware all reservations that show on the calendar are reserved or for public use as designated in reservation. If there are no bookings scheduled on the SSSR, this is open ice for anyone to use for FREE.
Calendar:Online reservation requests can be made for both the ORA and SSSR via this website by logging in or creating an account. There must be a 15-minute buffer to allow for ice flooding before and after your reservation.
Requests for the ORA and SSSR are subject to review and approval before confirmed. Approvals will be sent out with a copy of your invoice within 24 hours during regular office hours Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, excluding holidays. For immediate assistance or for a booking that will be taking place in less than 24 hours, please contact Bookings@DiamondValley.town or 403-933-5272. Requests sent Friday-Sunday will not be approved until Monday or the next business day.
The Diamond Valley Municipal Campground is a great overnight base for day adventures into Kananaskis or enjoying all the amenities and fun activities the Diamond Valley area offers. We offer 18 sites of various sizes (25-40 feet) with (30 amp) and without electricity located in the heart of our Turner Valley community. Online reservations are given priority. Last minute reservations are available, see below for Reservation Options.
The campground is centrally located near the pool, spray park, Sheep River, and downtown businesses, with easy day access to the wilds of Kananaskis. The Friendship Trailhead, a 3 km walking/biking path along HWY 22 that connects the historic Diamond Valley communities of Turner Valley and Black Diamond, is located in Millennium Park south of the campground.

The Flare n Derrick Community Hall is located at 131 Main Street NE, offering a rustic and affordable space for hosting weddings, community events, workshops, markets and private banquets or meetings. The commercial kitchen is available to use on a daily basis depending on availability and can only be booked on weekdays unless it's short notice and the hall is not already booked for a weekend event.

All events hosted in the Flare n' Derrick Community Hall require proof of insurance and may require a SOCAN/RE:Sound fee
All liquor licences must be obtained through Alberta Gaming and Liquor and Cannabis Commission by the user group, if applicable
The Town of Diamond Valley has two soccer fields and two ball diamonds available for use and reservation by community groups and residents. Soccer fields are available at both Maplewood Park and behind the courthouse next to Dr. Lander Memorial Pool. The ball diamonds include Millennium Park, located behind the Flare n' Derrick next to Millennium Park and the Field of Dreams, located along HWY 22 and the Sheep River connecting Diamond Valley.
Insurance is required for all Flare n Derrick Community Hall bookings as well as any special event, tournament, or organized league events held utilizing any Town facility/property. To obtain an insurance quote for your booking click here or visit your insurance broker.
