General Terms & Conditions of Use
  • Person must be 18 years of age or older to rent any facility in Whitewater Region.
  • The contract holder agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Township of Whitewater Region from all claims, demands, causes or action, loss, costs or damages that the Township of Whitewater Region may suffer, incur or be liable for resulting from the contract holder’s negligence, acts or omissions, failure to adhere to the terms of conditions related to the holding of the event described in the contract.
  • It is the responsibility of the agreement holder to make all members of its groups using the Township of Whitewater Region facilities aware of the terms and conditions of the Townships of Whitewater Region Facility User Group Agreement, and to provide the members with a copy of these terms and conditions, if requested.
  • As a proactive risk management practice, The Township of Whitewater Region encourages the contract holder to ask their participants to: a. Complete a waiver/PAR-Q form, which determines whether players should check with the doctor before becoming more physically active; b. Ensure that all necessary protective equipment be worn for the appropriate sport; c. Be equipped with proper first aid supplies and have a person trained in First Aid, AED and CPR in attendance during the use of the facility.
  • The agreement holder understands that the staff at the Whitewater Region have control over the facility. No abuse or harassment of staff on such matters will be tolerated.
  • The agreement holder renting a facility is responsible for all damages to the facility.
  • Persons are prohibited on the ice surface before lights are turned on, during a flood or when ice resurfacing doors are open.
  • All participants will immediately vacate the ice at the end of the session or notified by authorized staff.
  • Walking on the ice surface with footwear is prohibited, unless in the event of an emergency.
  • Alcoholic beverages, smoking and illegal substances are not permitted in the arena, dressing rooms, stands and parking lot along with all accessory premises. Only alcohol sold on the premise under a Liquor Licence approved by the AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) is permitted.
  • User Group Agreement holder must comply with all applicable rules and regulations, policies, procedures and by laws of the Township of Whitewater Region, including but not limited to the municipal alcohol policy.
  • Insurance Certificate is required for booking request to be approved. 
  • Dressing rooms must be vacated 30 minutes after the end of the ice rental.
  • The Township of Whitewater Region will not be held responsible for lost or stolen property.
  • No person shall use a camera, cell phone or personal digital device in any change room or washroom facilities.
  • Minor hockey players should be supervised at all times and follow the Two Deep Method set out by Hockey Eastern Ontario of supervision and will supervise children in dressing rooms.
  • All players will have access to dressing room facilities that most appropriately meet their individual or gender needs.
  • Spring ice will be determined on amount of bookings and will be held at the facility under the discretion of the Township.
  • Spring ice is considered any ice booking after March 31st
  • Each ice rental consists of 50 minutes and 10 minute flood times for maintenance of the ice. Hall rentals are rented hourly or daily. Additional ice times may be booked in half hour increments after the initial one-hour booking.
  • Fees for facility use will be applied to the user, based on the user fee schedule, schedule B community services.
