Facility and Service Cancellation

The tenant agrees to read and apply the statements of the policy on the rental of community halls (LOI-0034).

The following regulations are to be respected by all tenants:

  • The tenant must comply with all federal, provincial and municipal laws on taxes, permits, etc., that may govern the use for which the rental contract is issued.
  • The tenant is responsible for the behaviour and supervision of all persons using the facility for the duration of its occupancy and will respect all regulations posted in the facility.
  • The tenant must comply with all instructions given by the personnel on the premises.
  • Decorations not already in the facility must comply with public safety standards, and Fire Department regulations, and must in no case leave permanent marks or holes on the walls.
  • The installation must be left clean and as it was before the rental.
  • The tenant must return all personal belongings at the end of the event.
  • The consumption or sale of illegal drugs is prohibited.
  • The consumption or sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited unless authorized in the contract and the tenant has obtained the appropriate permit and provided proof of insurance.
  • Activities for people under the age of 18 must be supervised by adults.
  • The tenant agrees to maintain a reasonable standard of noise levels for the duration of the activity.
  • The hirer agrees not to sublet the premises in whole or in part nor to assign or transfer this contract or any rights relating thereto without the written permission of the department.
  • the tenant must respect the maximum number of persons eligible to use the hall as identified at the entrance to the hall.
  • The tenant must take notice of the fire safety plan and always apply it.
  • The presence of animals is prohibited, except for assistance dogs for people with disabilities.
  • It is strictly forbidden to practise any team sport in the community hall.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises.
  • It is strictly forbidden to resell food prepared in the community room kitchens to individuals who are not present in the community room.
  • It is strictly forbidden to use confetti, confetti balloons or cannons.
  • It is strictly forbidden to bring bales of hay or straw onto the premises.
  • It is strictly forbidden to bring an inflatable or any other play structure onto the premises.
  • It is strictly forbidden to park a recreational vehicle in the parking lot to stay overnight.
