Click the categories on the left to register for fitness or intramurals! Intramurals are FREE for all students but registration is still required. Before registering for programs please ensure you’ve created an account and have become a member.
Cancellations or Changes
Cancellation and changes to programs may occur due to low registration, instructor availability and or facility use. These will be handled on a case by case basis and refunds will be given accordingly.
Refunds and Withdrawals
A refund will be given up to one week before the start date of a program. A partial or full refund will be issued depending on the circumstances and will be handled on a case by case basis. For more information or to request a refund please contact [email protected]
INTRAMURAL CODE OF CONDUCT
The code of conduct is intended to identify the general standards of conduct for all Cap U intramural recreation participants. It is the responsibility of all parties to familiarize themselves with, and understand their obiligation to the code of conduct.
All individuals who access and utilize Cap U facilitities and/or services are expected to adhere to the following behaviours:
RESPECT: Treat others with respect and dignity. Discruminating, harassing, threatening or assualting another individual will not be tolerated.
SAFETY: Prioritize safety and follow all posted rules and regulations. Any behaviours that endanger the health and safety of self or others will not be tolerated.
CIVILITY: Comply with CapUrec staff's reasonable instruction and rules. Disruptions to the operations or interference with the staff's ability to perform their duties will not be tolerated.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Act truthfully and take responsibility for one's actions. Misrepresentation of oneself or others and stealing, misusing or damaging property will not be tolerated.
The list above sets out specific examples of prohibited conduct. It is intended to help individuals understand the type of conduct that will be subject to discipline: it is not an exhaustive list and individuals should be aware that their conduct may still be considered prohibited conduct under this code of conduct even if it does not appear in the list.
SPORTSMANSHIP RATING SCALE
Good sportsmanship is critical to maintaining a fun, safe environment for our CapUrec intramural sports. All intramural participants are expected to conduct themselves in a civil and sporting manner at all times.
This rating scale outlines the appropriated behaviour for our programs. it is expected that participants score a 3 or above while participationg in our programs.
EXCELLENT CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP (5) - The participant displays an excellent attitude. Conduct is positive at all times, even if the opponent does not display a high level of sportsmanship. If necessary the participants calmly converse with tje opposing team, officials and the CapUrec intramural leader. The participant has winning and losing in perspective such that their conduct in all ways provided an example of the intramural program.
GOOD CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP (4) - The participant shows good sportsmansip and cooperates with the opposing team, officials and the CapUrec intramural leader. Opponents area treated with respect and there are no warnings regarding their behaviour.
AVERAGE CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP (3) - The particpant shows cooperation with the opposing team, officials and CapUrec intramural leader but may have some complaints and grumbling. Food attutdye is missing on occasion, but, there are no blantant dipslays of bad attitutude.
BELOW AVERAGE CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP (2) - Participant constantly comment to opponents, officials and CapUrec intramural leader.
POOR CONDUCT AND SPORTSMANSHIP (1) - Participant has no control over themselves. Participant is completely uncooperatie and poorly represents themselves and the CapUrec intramural program.
